Adam: Yes I'll look at doing this tutorial feature soon don't worry. For the bass note, C# the reason is because of how the chords are played. For a 4/4 tune the pattern is as follows: 1-bass 2-triad 3-bass 4-triad In part B the A/C# is played on beat 3 where the bass is played. Whereas in part A it's played on beat 2 and beat 4 where the triad is played so we don't get the bass note on these beats unfortunately. Only an issue when we have 4 chords in the bar though, for 2 chords this will never happen. Just an unfortunate quirk I'm afraid.
Jean Banwarth: Thank you, I didn’t know and it’s a very useful function. A help function reminding the syntax of chords and how to place them on certain notes would really be welcome ;-) I take this opportunity to report an audio problem: in part A, the 'A/C' chords are not played correctly, the program ignores the requested bass (C#). Fortunately, in part B, everything is going well.
Adam: Thanks Jean. πŸ’‘ Tip: Chords can be positioned on selected beats by using two hyphens like the example below. | A--D-E | This will skip beat 2 and place the D on beat 3. Hope that helps. (1 like)
